I'm feeling a bit boggle-eyed! I'm editing the updated version of my memoir, due out in Ireland/UK/Canada/Australia/NewZealand on August 10th! Entitled 'All To Live For' it details my battle with cancer to date with some tips and hints I've picked up along the way. So it's 'Talk to the Headscarf' with an added update - seeing as I'd only had cancer five times at the end of 'Talk to the Headscarf'I felt it was time I told a bit more of the story! It will also include extra information similar to the blogs I've been doing lately on things that have helped me.
I'm actually blown away by how much has changed over the past decade as I've battled cancer. There are so many better treatments available and even though I wouldn't wish cancer on my worst enemy, the outcomes are improving all the time. I can't wait to share my new memoir with you. I'll show you the cover as soon as I can. I'm really excited and hope my voice comes back soon so I can get back on TV and radio to chat. I wasn't born to be quiet folks, so this whispery squeaky voice I have currently isn't working for me! I miss getting out and about and talking to people...
Before all of that,(drum roll if you please) the paperback version of my number 1 bestseller 'The Wedding Promise' hits shelves in June - hopefully in time for your holidays! I can share that cover with you right now. I love it. I think it really captures the essence of the story and I hope you'll like it too.
Enjoy your bank holiday weekend. Are you doing things that make you happy? Or if you're like us, you're sorting things, fixing things and getting the garden organised (if that's at all possible?)! It has to be done! Spring has well and truly sprung.
Enjoy the lie on tomorrow morning, I know I will. I'm now able to lie down. My tumours are shrinking (hurray) and as a result I'm sleeping for Ireland. From one extreme to the other! Fingers crossed I'll be some way normal soon, what ever that might be... I've a feeling 'normal' is high over rated though
